Vox imposes "independent" candidates for the Senate closely linked to the far-right: from the former press chief of Ortega-Smith to a former councilor of Mazón

The Popular Party (PP) is including candidates closely linked to Vox in its Senate lists, following a pact to prevent leftist coalitions from gaining ground. Vox has withdrawn from presenting candidates in 14 constituencies in favor of the PP, which has agreed to nominate individuals described as 'independent' but who have strong ties to Vox. Notable candidates include former press chief Alba Moreno and ex-conseller José Luis Aguirre. The PP has also renewed a significant portion of its congressional and Senate candidates, while not requiring Vox to nominate independents in three provinces where the PP is not running.
