Freighter adrift without control in the North Sea off Schiermonnikoog, three injured

The UHL Freedom cargo ship, with 25 crew members, has lost anchor and is adrift at sea. Three crew members were injured, and a coast guard helicopter evacuated two of them to Eelde Airport for further medical assistance. The ship is currently facing storm conditions with waves over 4.5 meters and wind force 9. Three rescue boats and two emergency tugs are en route to assist the vessel, which is flying the Portuguese flag and designed for transporting large items.
