Woman who came up with Obama slogan 'Yes we can' has died at the age of 96

Dolores Huerta, a prominent labor leader and civil rights icon, is known for her slogan "Sí, se puede!" which inspired Barack Obama. She received the Presidential Medal of Freedom in 2012 and advocated for farmworkers' rights alongside César Chávez, co-founding the United Farm Workers Union. Huerta revealed she was sexually abused by Chávez in the 1960s, a secret she kept for decades. Even in her later years, she remained active in protests, championing issues like racism, poverty, and LGBTQIA+ rights.
