A ski resort is being built in Ukraine for $1.5 billion, 160 km from the Polish border

Construction has begun on a major resort in the Ukrainian Carpathians, featuring over 40 ski trails and year-round recreational facilities. The project, backed by OKKO Group, has a budget of $1.5 billion, with significant funding from external investors. The centerpiece will be a multifunctional Mountain Center, set to open in 2028, which will include cultural spaces, a food hall, and panoramic views. The resort aims to attract tourists from Central Europe, with its first phase expected to be completed by July 2027, covering 127 hectares and offering extensive skiing infrastructure and accommodations.
