Holidays must be successful – Airbnb will pay compensation if it rains
Airbnb has introduced weather insurance for travelers, offering compensation for rainy days during their stays. This insurance, developed with Chubb, is available in ten European countries, including Poland. Travelers can receive between 50 to 1000 euros for qualifying rainy days, based on specific rainfall criteria. The insurance covers domestic and international trips, excluding the U.S., and is available for adults who book accommodations. It does not cover other weather phenomena like snow or hail. This initiative aims to attract customers to destinations with unpredictable weather, potentially impacting smaller competitors in the tourism industry.
