Important deadline for victims of the Zondacrypto scandal
A meeting at the Ministry of Justice involved prosecutors, the head of the ministry, and creditors of the bankrupt company BB Trade Estonia, operator of the Zondacrypto exchange. Damian Przybyłowski, head of the creditors' committee, emphasized the need for evidence from victims to support their claims, which can be submitted until October 27. Currently, around 5,000 claims totaling approximately 40 million euros have been filed. The meeting established cooperation protocols between the prosecutor's office and the bankruptcy trustee, focusing on asset recovery. Przybyłowski expressed hope for clarity on the assets within six months, while the prosecutor's office is investigating potential fraud and money laundering related to Zondacrypto. The exchange has been inaccessible to clients since April, with significant losses reported.
