Websites are slowly coming back online after a security update in the PHP programming language
Websites that were temporarily taken offline due to security vulnerabilities in PHP are gradually coming back online following a security update. Major organizations had shut down their sites in response to two significant leaks affecting PHP, a widely used programming language. By around 5 PM, several sites, including RTL and Tweakers, were accessible again, although key government sites like DigiD and the Dutch Parliament remained down. Internationally, various government websites were also affected but are starting to recover. Despite the update, potential issues may arise from increased download requests or failed updates. However, no evidence of exploitation from the vulnerabilities has been reported by cybersecurity agencies.
