The challenge was made in front of other politicians, including Radosław Sikorski, who encouraged Mentzen to accept. Mentzen responded with a counter-invitation to a running event instead, expressing uncertainty about the nature of the training. He later stated he did not want to appear foolish and was unclear about the challenge's specifics. The training aims to enhance societal resilience and national security, targeting individuals without prior defense experience.
