Those who take the theoretical driving test in Brussels will no longer be able to do the practical test in Flanders.
The Flemish government will prohibit practical driving tests in Flanders for those who did not take their theoretical exam there, effective January 1. This decision aims to alleviate pressure on exam centers in the Flemish region caused by an influx of candidates from Brussels and Wallonia. Candidates can still choose where to obtain their license but must complete both exams in the same region. Brussels has limited exam centers, leading to long wait times, prompting candidates to seek tests in Flanders, which will now also impose stricter regulations.
