Most Poles want an increase in the number of shopping Sundays
A survey reveals that 60.5% of respondents support increasing the number of shopping Sundays in Poland. While 27.5% favor completely lifting the Sunday trading ban, 19% prefer two shopping Sundays per month. Only 14% think one shopping Sunday is sufficient, and 16.5% want to maintain current restrictions. The results indicate a desire for more flexible shopping options, but no single proposal gained majority support. Experts suggest that any increase in shopping Sundays may not lead to proportional sales growth, as consumer spending patterns could shift rather than increase. The current Sunday trading ban, enacted in 2018, allows limited exceptions for certain businesses.
