Wolf attacked 8-year-old girl in the park. The child is seriously injured
On October 28, an eight-year-old girl was attacked by a wolf during an animal caretaker day event at Wildpark Johannismühle in Baruth. The girl sustained serious injuries and was hospitalized, while two other children were unharmed. The park has been closed for veterinary inspections to assess the health and behavior of the animals. Previous inspections in July 2025 and March 2026 found no safety violations. The park features gray and polar wolves, lynxes, and brown bears, and promotes animal encounters for children. Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the attack.
