Willebroekkaai in Brussels closed due to gas smell, Kanal construction site evacuated

Emergency services responded to a gas odor reported on Willebroekkaai in Brussels. The call came in around 1 PM, leading to the area being closed to traffic. Firefighters, police, and gas network operator Sibelga are on-site. Workers at the Kanal construction site were evacuated, affecting about 250 employees. As of 1:50 PM, the source of the odor has not yet been identified.
