Witkoff reveals location, date for new trilateral peace deal negotiations
U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff announced trilateral peace talks between Russia, Ukraine, and the U.S. scheduled for Nov. 10-11 in Abu Dhabi. The discussions will address post-war security, de-escalation, and humanitarian efforts. Both President Zelensky and President Putin showed willingness to negotiate after recent meetings with Witkoff. The agenda includes potential ceasefires and the return of abducted Ukrainian children. However, the Kremlin has rejected ceasefire proposals, insisting on territorial concessions from Ukraine. Zelensky emphasized the need for strong security guarantees for Ukraine, while U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio expressed doubts about achieving a negotiated peace.
