They prefer lower quality products as long as they are cheaper. Inflation has pressed the Poles.
Recent surveys indicate a significant shift in consumer priorities in Poland, with price now surpassing quality in importance. In 2024, 87.3% prioritized quality, but by 2026, the gap narrowed, and price led by 12.4 percentage points. This change is attributed to rising living costs and inflation, prompting consumers to seek savings. Despite this trend, 82.8% still prefer Polish products when possible, although country of origin ranks third in purchasing criteria. Willingness to pay more for quality has declined sharply, from 82.9% in 2024 to 59.2% in 2026, particularly among lower-income individuals. The study was conducted from September 16-19, 2026, with a representative sample of 1010 adults.
