The blunder of Hegseth's people. They damaged a valuable souvenir
During an attempt to relocate a historical globe used by General Eisenhower, staff members of Secretary of War Pete Hegseth accidentally damaged it. The globe, dating back to the 1930s, was dropped, resulting in a significant tear. The U.S. Army confirmed the incident occurred in early February, stating that the globe's spherical part detached from its metal base. Despite the interest in the globe, it was not moved to Hegseth's office. The Department of War announced that the globe is currently being repaired, but costs and responsibility for the restoration remain unclear.
