Secondary sanctions scared cryptocurrency exchanges. They are getting rid of Russians
Global cryptocurrency exchanges are rapidly reducing services for Russian users due to sanctions. KuCoin has ceased operations for users from Russia and Belarus, effective immediately. This follows similar actions by Bitget and MEXC, citing international regulatory requirements. Analysts attribute these service refusals to compliance costs and risks of secondary sanctions. Despite these restrictions, Russian users can still trade on some Asian exchanges, although limitations are being introduced there as well.
