A unique tribute to the master of cinema. A mural of Wajda was unveiled in Krakow.

Bartosz Podlewski won a mural competition honoring Andrzej Wajda with his work "Wajda czarno na białym," which creatively combines the director's portrait with elements from his films. The mural features Wajda with a camera, surrounded by titles and premiere dates of his famous works, using a timeless black-and-white palette. During the unveiling, Krystyna Zachwatowicz-Wajda expressed her emotional appreciation for the mural's composition. Krakow's acting president, Stanisław Kracik, emphasized the mural's modern tribute to Wajda's legacy. Additionally, plaques honoring Wajda and his wife were placed on benches in Krakow's Planty Park, recognizing their contributions to cinema and their connection to the city.
