Verdict after the tragedy on the A1. Sebastian M. sentenced

Sebastian M. was sentenced to eight years in prison for a fatal accident on the A1 highway, which resulted in the deaths of a family. The court also imposed a 15-year driving ban and ordered him to pay 2.5 million PLN in compensation to the victims' families. The judge emphasized that M. was solely responsible for the tragedy, having driven at excessive speeds after modifying his car for performance. The incident occurred on September 16, 2023, when M.'s BMW collided with a Kia, killing a couple and their five-year-old son. M. fled the country but was later extradited from Dubai. The verdict is not yet final.
