The new tax regulations were approved by 377 votes in favor, 59 against, and one abstention. The law will now be reviewed by the Senate. If accepted, the excise tax on ethyl alcohol will increase significantly, with various rates set for beer, wine, and cider. The additional revenue will be allocated to the National Health Fund, with adjustments planned for the budget in 2029. The changes are set to take effect on January 1, 2027.
