Yaron Tack (25) from Vichte receives medal for rescuing man from burning house in Sint-Baafs-Vijve

Yaron Tack, a 25-year-old from Vichte, received a bronze medal and diploma from the Carnegie Hero Fund for rescuing a man from a burning house in Sint-Baafs-Vijve. Tack witnessed the fire while driving with his sister and bravely entered the burning home to save the man. The mayor of Wielsbeke praised his courage during the award ceremony. Tack expressed that he did not initially see himself as a hero but felt compelled to act despite the danger. He is grateful for the recognition and would act similarly if faced with the same situation again.
