Yolanda Hopkins finishes in fifth place at the Philippines Pro

Yolanda Hopkins was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the Philippines Pro, finishing fifth. She scored 8.33 points, not enough to beat Caitlin Simmers, who scored 10.34 points despite a penalty. Hopkins remains in 14th place in the world ranking, which qualifies her for next year's circuit. She will compete again at the Pipeline Pro in Hawaii from December 8 to 20. In the women's semi-finals, Simmers will face Carissa Moore, while the men's semi-finals feature Jack Robinson against Ethan Ewing and Yago Dora against Gabriel Medina.
