Threat of infection? Contaminated salami

Three out of five samples of a salami batch tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes, prompting a recall of the products. The affected salami types include musli, pepper, and Mexican varieties, all from batch number 11061, with expiration dates in early 2027, produced by Bell Polska Sp. z o.o. The producer has halted further production and is investigating the contamination source, while local veterinary authorities have initiated proceedings. Consumption of contaminated products can lead to listeriosis, particularly dangerous for pregnant women, newborns, and immunocompromised individuals. Symptoms may include flu-like and gastrointestinal issues, requiring medical consultation.
