Ban on Sunday trading to change? Results of the latest survey
A survey reveals that 60.5% of respondents favor increasing the number of trading Sundays, while only 27.5% support completely lifting the ban. 19% want two trading Sundays per month, and 14% prefer one. Experts note that consumers seek flexibility rather than full freedom in shopping. Only 16.5% support maintaining current regulations, with 14.3% advocating for stricter rules. The potential easing of the Sunday trading ban may not guarantee increased sales, as it depends on consumer behavior. Large chains could benefit from operational advantages, while small stores might leverage their proximity to customers. The Sunday trading ban has been in effect in Poland since 2018, allowing limited openings since 2020.
