Banned infant formula has reappeared in stores according to SZPI inspectors
Dangerous infant formula has reportedly reappeared in Czech stores, despite a sales ban since February. Inspectors found contaminated batches in three cities, raising concerns about the presence of the toxin cereulid, which can cause severe health issues. Parents are advised to check for affected products at home and return them to retailers. A total of 44 suspect products from twelve manufacturers were to be withdrawn earlier this year. Some retailers failed to comply, leading to renewed inspections. The toxin can lead to vomiting and diarrhea, with serious risks for infants. Families affected by the contaminated formula have reported severe health issues in their children, prompting criticism of the government's delayed response to the contamination warnings.
