Forbidden Island. The most isolated tribe in the world lives there.

North Sentinel Island, located in the Andaman Sea, is nearly inaccessible due to natural barriers and strict Indian government regulations. The indigenous Sentinelese people, who have lived there for thousands of years, fiercely protect their territory and have a history of violent encounters with outsiders. Estimates of their population vary widely, ranging from 50 to 500 individuals, as accurate counts are difficult due to their isolation. The Indian government enforces a buffer zone around the island to prevent contact, primarily to protect the Sentinelese from diseases brought by outsiders. Recent attempts to reach the island have ended tragically, including the death of an American missionary in 2018 and the arrest of a tourist in 2025.
