Attorney Katarzyna Hebda has filed a request for a written justification of the court's verdict regarding Sebastian M., who was sentenced to eight years for causing a fatal accident on the A1 highway. The accident resulted in the deaths of a family of three. Hebda announced plans to appeal, arguing that the court did not fully assess the evidence. In addition to the prison sentence, Sebastian M. must pay 2.5 million PLN in compensation and is banned from driving for 15 years. The trial lasted a year, with the incident occurring on September 16, 2023, when M.'s BMW collided with a Kia, leading to a tragic fire. M. was extradited from the UAE in May 2025 and has been in custody since.
