Marzena Błaszczyk from Watchdog Polska reported low participation in a salary survey of hospitals, with only 160 out of 1350 responding. The data collected does not provide a comprehensive view of doctors' earnings, especially since many work in multiple facilities. The survey was prompted by discussions on limiting doctors' salaries following irregularities in the healthcare system. Notably, 56 hospitals reported doctors earning over one million złoty, with the highest salary reaching 2.98 million zł. The PESEL law aims to gather more accurate salary data across institutions to better assess doctors' total earnings.
