Legimi faces allegations from UOKiK regarding changes to its subscription model and unclear trial period terms. In October 2024, the company moved some e-books and audiobooks to a paid catalog, requiring users to pay extra fees. UOKiK argues this may limit the service consumers previously paid for. Additionally, the trial period activation button did not clearly inform users about the automatic transition to a paid subscription if not canceled in time. If the allegations are confirmed, Legimi could face fines up to 10% of its annual revenue.
