Slaughtered car transport

Since the beginning of 2023, 11,700 transport companies in Poland have ceased operations due to financial liquidity issues. The percentage of invoices with deferred payment has risen significantly, particularly in the transport sector, where nearly 90% of invoices are affected. This situation forces small businesses to finance operations upfront, leading to cash flow challenges. Transport companies are calling for legal measures to shorten payment terms, as many contracts stipulate payments after over 120 days. The financial instability in the sector is evident, with increasing debts and declining profit margins.
