The flooded Dolní Vltavice still attracts. Jan Štifter wrote a book about it and immersed himself in it.

The submerged village of Dolní Vltavice continues to attract attention due to its complex 20th-century history. Author Jan Štifter recently explored the area, which inspired his new novel. The local museum has relocated over 90 gravestones that were underwater since 1958, aiming to document the cemetery's history and the village's tragic past, including two displacements of its population. Štifter's novel, released in August, intertwines various narratives and seeks to uncover secrets beneath the Lipno reservoir. He also plans to publish a guide about the Lipno region next year, reflecting on historical facts and personal memories.
