The little king of Zebegény has once again not allowed the council to dissolve itself.

In Zebegény, a deadlock persists as five out of seven council members seek self-dissolution and interim elections, opposed by Mayor Ernő Ferenczy. During a recent extraordinary council meeting, attempts to discuss self-dissolution were dismissed by the mayor, who argued against it, citing concerns over the council's decision-making process. The mayor's resistance has led to a prolonged inability for the council to vote on the matter, raising questions about local governance and oversight. The situation worsened when the Hungarian State Treasury suspended funding due to unresolved financial issues, affecting local employees' salaries. Despite the council's acceptance of the budget report to ensure payments, concerns about financial management remain unresolved, prompting calls for independent audits.
