Very large fire at car wrecking yard Zoetermeer, NL-Alert sent due to smoke

A fire broke out at a car dismantling yard on Bleiswijkseweg, prompting a rapid response from emergency services. Four individuals inhaled smoke and were taken to the hospital as a precaution. The fire appeared to involve dismantled vehicles, and a previous fire occurred at the same location last year. An NL-Alert was issued due to the smoke, which decreased by 8:30 AM, but changing winds may affect more residents. The fire department advised closing windows and doors and requested the public to avoid the area. Tensions escalated when a resident was stopped by police, leading to one arrest and medical examination.
