At least ten dead after collision between high-speed trains in Spain

A collision occurred between a Renfe high-speed train and an Iryo train near Madrid, resulting in two Iryo carriages derailing. Train services on the Madrid-Sevilla route have been suspended, and a sports hall is being prepared for injured passengers. Initial reports suggest human error may have contributed to the accident, with the Renfe train possibly receiving clearance to proceed while the Iryo train was on the tracks. This incident marks the second major train accident in Spain this year, following a deadly derailment in January.
