Zelensky pushes back against Musk, says Ukraine uses Starshield to defend itself

Ukrainian President Zelensky stated that Ukraine uses SpaceX's Starshield solely for defensive purposes against Russian forces on its territory, countering Elon Musk's claims of offensive use. Musk had alleged that Ukraine violated Starlink's terms by using the service for attacks, but Zelensky clarified that their operations are defensive. He noted that Starshield had faced temporary speed restrictions, impacting Ukraine's military effectiveness. Zelensky emphasized that the use of these systems is to protect Ukrainian civilians from Russian aggression. The situation has raised questions about the control and restrictions imposed on these satellite systems, with speculation about U.S. government involvement.
