Six occupants of rubber boat off the Zeeland coast were minors
A rubber boat carrying migrants, including six minors, was intercepted off the Zeeland coast. One of the 38 passengers has applied for asylum. Two Sudanese men were arrested on suspicion of human smuggling. The migrants were medically examined for hypothermia, and conditions were reported as manageable. Most adults will undergo immigration procedures to verify their nationality and residency status. It appears that the migrants did not intend to reach the Netherlands, as boats often travel from France to the UK, suggesting this vessel may have drifted off course.
