The General Assembly of the Constitutional Tribunal judges accepted that a quorum is eight people

The Supreme Court Judges' General Assembly confirmed that a quorum consists of eight judges. All participating judges supported this interpretation. The Constitutional Tribunal's eight judges, elected by the Sejm, also acknowledged the quorum without opposition. The Supreme Court's College issued a resolution opposing actions undermining constitutional principles, particularly regarding the removal of the Tribunal's president, Bogdan Święczkowski. The College emphasized that such actions violate constitutional law and called for respect for the Constitution. Discussions at the General Assembly highlighted concerns about the legitimacy of decisions made by judges who have not sworn in. The Assembly is set to address the Tribunal's budget for 2027 amid ongoing tensions surrounding its operations.
