Sick Antonelli misses media day ahead of possible title weekend in Mexico

Mercedes anticipates that Antonelli will return on Friday after being excused from media obligations due to feeling unwell. The team stated this precaution allows him to rest before the race weekend. Antonelli needs only a ninth-place finish on Sunday to secure his first world title, regardless of his competitors' results. He won his ninth race of the season in Austin but had to postpone his title celebration as Russell and Hamilton remain mathematically in contention. If he wins the championship, Antonelli will become the youngest Formula 1 world champion, surpassing Sebastian Vettel's record.
