Change to winter time 2026. When do we set the clocks back?

This weekend marks the transition from summer to winter time in Poland, occurring from October 24 to 25. Clocks will be set back from 3 AM to 2 AM, following EU Directive 2000/84/EC. The practice of changing time has been in place since 1977, with previous adjustments occurring irregularly for over a century. Critics argue that the time change disrupts biological clocks and poses health risks, with adaptation taking one to two weeks. Additionally, night workers will earn extra pay due to the additional hour worked during the transition, including overtime and night shift bonuses.
