We know the date for the fulfillment of Gibała's key promise. Dispute over a new referendum in Kraków
The implementation of Łukasz Gibała's promise regarding the Clean Transport Zone (CTZ) in Kraków may face legal challenges, according to the Frank Bold Foundation. They argue that a referendum on the CTZ is illegal since the establishment of such zones requires prior public consultations. Gibała's plan to limit the CTZ to the city center has raised concerns, as previous consultations have already taken place. The Vice President of Kraków, Jan Hoffman, believes a referendum is possible, citing a recent court ruling that could allow for local referendums despite previous legal interpretations. However, he also mentioned the option of conducting consultations similar to a referendum. The Małopolska Voivode, Krzysztof Jan Klęczar, expressed skepticism about the legality of reducing the CTZ without proper legislative procedures, emphasizing that the issue affects the entire region, not just Kraków.
