Two police officers from the Małkinia Police Station face charges related to the supervision of a detainee, Jacek K., who escaped from a hospital. Sylwester A. is charged with failing to secure Jacek K. with handcuffs and using his firearm improperly, resulting in injuries. Paweł J. is charged with neglecting his duties by not using handcuffs. Jacek K. was shot during his escape attempt and later died despite medical efforts. An autopsy revealed multiple gunshot wounds, but the cause of death was determined to be cardiac arrest, not the gunshot injuries.
