ZPP: The fact that Poland is a net payer to the EU. The balance is 58.7 billion euros in the black.
The Związek Przedsiębiorców i Pracodawców released a report highlighting Poland's economic growth since joining the EU, noting a 115% increase in GDP. However, they argue that the current growth model, reliant on low labor costs and EU funds, is losing effectiveness. To remain competitive, Poland must increase investment and engage more in shaping EU market regulations. The report challenges the notion that Poland is a net contributor to the EU, showing a positive balance of €167.9 billion in transfers. It warns that leaving the EU could cost Poland 10% of its GDP over 15 years. The authors advocate for a new growth strategy focused on active participation in EU decision-making and enhancing Poland's presence in Brussels.
