The sprinklers returned to the roadway to prevent the formation of a "glass".
Recent upgrades were made to the anti-icing system at the Wisłostrada tunnel entrance towards Mokotów. This system, operational since 2003, prevents ice formation on the road by using automated nozzles that spray anti-icing agents when weather conditions indicate a risk of freezing. The system is monitored by two independent weather stations that collect data from sensors embedded in the road. Its location near the river contributes to varying humidity and temperature, making it essential for maintaining road safety. Similar systems are also installed at Chopin Airport and the Southern Bypass of Warsaw.
