"I would do it. No problem." Trump on Putin and Zelensky at the G20 summit
During a Halloween event at Mar-a-Lago, Donald Trump expressed willingness to invite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to the G20 summit. He commented on Ukraine's renewed strikes on Russian refineries, stating that his administration is in discussions with Ukraine and believes the war will end soon. U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio mentioned that the decision to invite Zelensky rests with Trump, and he did not rule out the possibility if it could yield positive outcomes. While Vladimir Putin is invited to the summit, Rubio was uncertain about his attendance. Zelensky has not received an invitation but has shown readiness for a trilateral meeting with the U.S. and Russia. Rubio also briefly discussed the potential for a leaders' meeting at the upcoming APEC summit in China.
