Zůna announced the postponement of the delivery of the first CV90 combat vehicles for the Czech army

The delivery of the first ten CV90 infantry fighting vehicles for the Czech army will be delayed until next year, as confirmed by Defense Minister Jaromír Zůna. Originally expected this year for military testing, the vehicles' delivery timeline remains unspecified. The Czech Republic signed a contract with BAE Systems Hägglunds in 2023 for 246 CV90 vehicles, valued at 59.7 billion CZK. The project is currently undergoing corporate testing, with evaluations scheduled for next week in Sweden. BAE Systems stated that the first five vehicles have been produced, facing challenges in the current European defense industry environment. The company emphasizes the importance of the Czech CV90 program for long-term collaboration with the Czech defense industry.
