An 11 billion forint investment will build a new building for the Gyömrő primary school, ending a years-long scandalous story.

The new building of Fekete István Primary School in Gyömrő will be constructed with a budget of nearly 11 billion HUF, as announced by Péter Magyar. The project was previously halted by Lázár János's ministry in 2022. Local MP István Balajti highlighted the poor conditions students faced, including leaking and moldy classrooms. Due to the deteriorating state of the school, around 600 students were relocated to temporary container classrooms. The new facility will replace the old buildings and will feature 24 classrooms and a gymnasium. The local community has long awaited this development, which aims to provide a modern educational environment for students.
