25 Years of Harry Potter in Cinema: From the World Premiere at Leicester Square, the Controversy over J.K. Rowling to the Re-release as a Streaming Series.

The Harry Potter franchise marks its 25th anniversary with a new series adaptation set to premiere on December 25. The original film debuted in 2001, becoming a global phenomenon. J.K. Rowling's controversial views on gender and trans issues have sparked debate among fans and actors. Despite mixed reactions, Warner Bros. is moving forward with the series, which will allow for deeper storytelling compared to the films. The main cast includes Dominic McLaughlin as Harry, Arabella Stanton as Hermione, and Alastair Stout as Ron. Rowling will be an executive producer, but her views will not influence the series' narrative. A new Harry Potter shop opens in London, and a German audiobook version is also set to release soon.
