440 million by September. EDP Renewables quadruples profit

EDP Renováveis reported a profit of nearly 440 million euros by September, a significant increase from 107 million euros in the same period last year. The company's EBITDA rose by 23% to 1.728 billion euros, while revenues grew by 1% to 2.034 billion euros. Electricity sales increased by 2% to 1.638 billion euros, despite a 2% drop in average selling price. The renewable energy generation also saw a 2% rise, reaching 30.9 terawatt-hours. Additionally, net debt rose by 3% to 8.3 billion euros. CEO Miguel Stilwell de Andrade announced his departure at the end of his term in 2027, after leading the company since its inception in 2007. EDPR shares increased by 3.22% to 13.47 euros.
