We have to repay 9 billion to the EU for a program that the State Audit Office stated is rife with irregularities.

The Hungarian government will reallocate nine billion forints from the budget to meet repayment obligations set by the European Commission. This decision is linked to the Brexit Adjustment Reserve program, which Hungary must repay based on a notification from the Commission. The program, with a total budget of 22 billion forints, was designed to support companies affected by the UK's exit from the EU. Eighty companies successfully applied for funding, but only 34 applications are currently available on the government portal. Among the beneficiaries is a furniture factory owned by Ádám Matolcsy, who received 308 million forints despite previous penalties for irregularities in another EU application.
