The former prime minister has been invited to form a government in Sweden
Former Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has been tasked by the Speaker of the Swedish Parliament to attempt to form a new government. This request follows the rejection of Elisabeth Thand Ringqvist's nomination as Prime Minister. Kristersson must report back by November 10 on his progress. Despite his right-wing coalition losing its parliamentary majority in the September elections, he is making an effort to create a "non-socialist" government. Previous attempts by Magdalena Andersson to form a government were unsuccessful. If Kristersson fails, Andersson may be given another chance, and if she is also rejected, new elections could be called.
