The government records may hold the answer to the MNB properties' asset loss issue
Mihály Varga addressed questions from Tisza representatives regarding the operation of foundations under the central bank, stating they have existed for decades. He noted that in 2013, there were no issues with the establishment of the Pallas Athéné foundations, which were initially aligned with the MNB's goals but later deviated from them. In response to inquiries about previous reports and lawsuits, Varga mentioned a final court ruling regarding Quartz Zrt. that reversed contract modifications saving 100 billion HUF for the MNB. He emphasized ongoing daily management of these matters. Bence Tuzson inquired about the real estate values of MNB foundations, specifically the Bölcs vár and BOKK, to which Varga replied that such data is included in government records.
